Rosmarie Tissi She is the creator of the Sinaloa font and has received numerous distinctions and awards, among them first prize and gold medal at the 11th International Poster Biennial in Warsaw 1986 and the second prize in the competition for new Swiss banknotes, 1989. Rosmarie Tissi (1937) Rosmarie Tissi grew up in an artistic family in Tayngen in the canton of Schaffhausen. She completed her apprenticeship as a graphic designer with Siegfried Odermatt in Zurich. Born 1 937. As a child Rosmarie Tissi was fascinated with chemistry, but her personal inventions were to be made on paper. Rosmarie has developed a personal style full of fresh visuals, distinctive proportions and undogmatic thinking and has received numerous awards, among them a gold medal at the 11th International Poster Biennial in Warsaw in 1986 and the Swiss Grand Award for Design in 2108.

Rosmarie Tissi is a Swiss designer—but not a typical Swiss designer. Born in 1937, her work is as rational and orderly as that of her compatriots—but is typically more human and relaxed, more colorful and round.

Tissi's worked have been exhibited worldwide along side with Odermatt's work including permanent collections of Museum of Modern Art, New York Fonts in use in artwork from “Rosmarie Tissi”.
